Matcha is more than tea. In Japanese culture, it accompanies both traditional tea ceremonies and simple everyday moments — quiet mornings, workday pauses, calm evenings.

Matcha can be different — for stillness, for energy, or for an ordinary day. That is why there are different grades of matcha, each created for a specific rhythm of life.

What Is Matcha

Matcha is a powdered green tea made from the leaves of the Camellia sinensis plant.Unlike loose-leaf tea, matcha is not infused and removed — it is consumed entirely, allowing you to take in all the natural components of the tea leaf.

How Matcha Is Made

The production of matcha is slow and precise:

  1. About 3–4 weeks before harvest, tea plants are shaded to slow growth and increase chlorophyll and amino acids.

  2. Young leaves are carefully harvested.

  3. The leaves are steamed to preserve freshness and colour.

  4. Stems and veins are removed, leaving only the soft leaf flesh, known as tencha.

  5. Tencha is slowly stone-ground into a fine powder.

This process gives matcha its vibrant green colour, smooth texture and layered flavour.

Ceremonial Grade Matcha

Ceremonial grade matcha represents the highest quality and is traditionally used in Japanese tea ceremonies.

Characteristics:

  • made from the youngest leaves

  • bright green colour

  • smooth, naturally sweet taste

  • rich umami

  • no bitterness

Ceremonial matcha is usually enjoyed pure, whisked only with water, to fully experience its flavour.

It is best suited for:

  • slow mornings

  • quiet moments

  • mindful rituals

In our catalog you can find organic Ceremonial Matcha to set up your ritual.

Premium Matcha for Everyday Use

Premium everyday matcha is also made from high-quality tencha, but offers a slightly stronger and more pronounced flavour.

Characteristics:

  • balanced taste with gentle bitterness

  • rich green colour

  • versatile and easy to use

This matcha is ideal for:

  • daily drinking

  • matcha lattes

  • smoothies and drinks

  • morning routines before work

It provides steady, natural energy and supports focus without overstimulation.

Good example of this type of matcha is our Daily Matcha that will exceed your expectations for premium matcha grade.

How to Choose Your Matcha

Choosing matcha is not about finding the “right” one, but the one that fits your moment:

  • choose ceremonial grade for calm, depth and presence

  • choose premium everyday matcha for balance, energy and routine

Matcha adapts to your rhythm, not the other way around.

Matcha as a Ritual

Matcha does not rush you.It supports you.

A bowl. Warm water. A slow sip.

And the day unfolds differently.
